By playing National Lottery games our local community are 'helping to make life better across the UK'.

National Lottery funding has been granted to employ a youth worker to engage with our young people during our weekly opening hours from Tuesday to Thursday. It has also allowed us to arrange fun activities and days out.

Three years of support for YPC

We are so excited that The Brelms Trust have awarded us not just one but three years of funding towards the charity's operations totalling £13,500. We are so grateful for this support and it is core in helping to provide staff and core costs that are fundamental to provide a safe place for young people in Pocklington.

Weston Foundation

Thank you

The Garfield Weston Foundation is a family founded grant-maker that gives money to support a wide range of charities across the UK.

Weston Garfield Foundation has provided Young People Count with £5,000 of funding to allow us to cover core costs such as bills and staff salaries so that YPC can continue to provide a safe place for young people to be themselves, create, chill, learn and chat.

Joseph and Annie Cattle Trust

The Joseph and Annie Cattle Trust is set up to help vulnerable people change their lives in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire, by providing financial support.

The Joseph and Annie Cattle Trust have provided Young People Count £5,000 towards core costs. These funds ensure we can continue to provide a safe place for young people local to Pocklington to have access to services and support as well as somewhere safe to just be themselves.

Sir James reckitt charity

Supporting charities in Hull and East Yorkshire. The Charity was established in May 1921 with the endowment by Sir James Reckitt of shares in the company of Reckitt & Sons Ltd. A hundred years on, wise management by the trustees has enabled the Charity to divest over £1m each year to charitable causes.

The Sir James Reckitt Charity have provided Young People Count with a grant of £5,000 to allow us to cover core cost such as bills and staff costs to ensure the continuation of the work we do.

Young Futures Fund

Supporting grassroots groups to improve mental health and wellbeing for teens and young people (13-21 years) to help build better futures. ASDA have awarded YPC £993.00 towards delivering wellbeing and mental health sessions as well as develop our 'Headstrong Hub'.

Noxdown Ltd

Noxdown was set up in 2015 and started life trading from their original production site in Elvington, North Yorkshire.

Initially focusing on the local agricultural and haulage markets with just one lorry, it soon became
apparent that demand existed for much, much more. One vehicle became six, and Noxdown went national!

Pocklington Freemasons

Freemasonry - one of the world’s oldest secular fraternal societies. It is a society that is concerned with moral and spiritual values.

Freemasonry is founded on four guiding principles: Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service.

Red Sky Ukeleles

Red Sky Ukeleles are a friendly U3A group meeting weekly, with members from Pocklington (YO42) and the surrounding area. They have been going since 2014 and play a wide mix of music, with everyone getting a chance to choose the weekly playlist. They perform locally to raise money for charity

Pocklington Arts Society

The Objects of the Society are to:-

foster and promote the maintenance and development of artistic taste and the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Arts in the Pocklington district.
establish or further the work of charitable institutions already existing or yet to be formed for the promotion of the said objectives.
present or assist in presenting public concerts, recitals, lectures, art exhibitions, arts festivals and other like events.
provide a means of bringing to the Pocklington district the work of creative artists in all fields of the Arts.

At Persimmon we're proud to support our local communities. Our Community Champions programme was established in 2015 and has already donated more than £3 million to over 3,500 good causes across Great Britain. We also have a programme of community events taking place as part of our partnership with Team GB for the 2024 Paris Olympics, along with other great initiatives.
