Mental health

At YPC, we are committed to nurturing the mental well-being of young individuals.

We understand that mental health is paramount to personal growth and success. To support this, we offer free counselling sessions tailored to 11-18 year-olds.

Accessing these sessions is easy, as young people or parents can reach out to us through our website, social media platforms, or via email at youthworker@ypcount.org.uk.

Alternatively, young people can speak directly to one of our staff members. These counselling sessions are typically available on Fridays from 4pm to 8pm, ensuring that young individuals have access to the support they need to navigate the challenges of adolescence and emerge stronger.

Through our Young Minds in Mind, we have worked closely with our qualified counsellor to develop workshops to support parents of young people.

The first one will be held at YPC on Saturday 21st October 10am - 1pm.

To attend please contact us to secure a place.

Topics we hope to cover in the workshops include:

  • What are your rights if your child is being bullied

  • Young People struggling to go to school

  • What help is available

  • Young People'e brain development and mental health
