Pocklington Arts Society

The Objects of the Society are to:-

foster and promote the maintenance and development of artistic taste and the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Arts in the Pocklington district.
establish or further the work of charitable institutions already existing or yet to be formed for the promotion of the said objectives.
present or assist in presenting public concerts, recitals, lectures, art exhibitions, arts festivals and other like events.
provide a means of bringing to the Pocklington district the work of creative artists in all fields of the Arts.

Pocklington Arts Society have provided a grant of £300 to help young people to have access and develop skills in the arts. The Youthboard have planned to use this funding to produce a play which exhibits the wonderful volunteers of YPC and it is expected to be shown at the Pocklington Arts Centre in June as part of the volunteers awards.
