Find Your Funny

Come and find your funny with an introduction to stand-up comedy,  perfect for young people who want to build confidence and learn new  skills or for those who have always fancied themselves as comedians and  would love to give it a go.

This Half Term afternoon session will be taught by multi award-winning comedian Jed Salisbury and multi award nominated performer Gary Jennison.

The taster workshop will cover a variety of introduction exercises  and games, how to take your writing and jokes to build a 5 min set,  microphone technique, stage etiquette, getting to and from stage,  timing, and how to convey confidence (even if nerves take hold).

Find answers to the burning questions…. What is a stand up set? Is  stand up for you and could it be a full time job/career? Or just fancy  having fun and trying something new?

Come and find your funny and you’ll be laughing the rest of the half term too!

4pm – Showtime!

Family, friends, one and all are invited to a 45 min performance featuring Jeddy Bear and Gary* Live with the Find your Funny graduates.

*Nominated for ‘Best Kids Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival  & UK Kids’ Comedy Festival awards, comedy duo Jed and Gary bring you  a show full of games, music, dancing and pie facing madness…well, what  else would you expect from these festival favourites?!
